Enter the Junior Pedal Car Race

PLEASE CHECK THE 'NEWS' PAGE TO READ ABOUT THE REDUCED RACE EVENT AT UWE SUNDAY AFTERNOON OCT 11TH

This is a race for secondary-school age teams and takes place before the 24-hour race on Saturday October 10th from 8am- 2pm.

SCHOOLS.......YOUTH CLUBS.......SCOUT GROUPS......enter a team!

Teams comprise up to 6 drivers  + 2 support.

Many adult racers in the BFPCR, which is staging six races around England in 2014, started out in scout teams.

For schools this is an opportunity for your students to co-operate across age groups to design, construct and race a pedal car as part of extra-curricular activity, possibly as part of STEM Clubs or Young Engineer schemes. You can also benefit from 'Meet an Engineer', a scheme being run by My Future My Choice to help schools to build and test their cars.

This is how young engineers at the Big Bang Fair were depicted in the Observer on Sunday 9th March. Is that a pedal car, or is that a pedal car?

If you are associated with any company or business in your area, it's also an opportunity to link with them and build a car which they can enter into the 24-Hour Race.
