Grand Appeal St Peter's Hospice Tree Aid

It's going to cost around £50,000 to stage the Bristol International 24-Hour Pedal Car Race thanks to it taking place in a public area, overnight. We've allowed for over twelve paid safety marshalls present at all times along the circuit - as opposed to using volunteers - and the circuit protected with pedestrian safety barriers. We're providing rest areas and somewhere warm to eat.

The objective of the race is to have fun, to celebrate the city in unique style, to signpost Bristol's status as Europe's 2015 Green Capital and not least we hope to raise money for charities - just like the original Rag Week race.

By distributing surplus profits we hope to benefit:

Any team can also use the event to raise even more money for their chosen charity whilst corporate entrants will also find the event useful as a team-building exercise.

There will be opportunities to directly sponsor particular elements, such as the pits, safety barriers, the stewarding ot the first aisd post. The souvenir programme carries advertising.

Team entry charges are:

If we had fifty teams with the cars equal distances apart, they would be at about 20m intervals, so we have room for more than fifty!
